Norman Osborn's motivations for kidnapping Gwen Stacy was not just because she was dating Spider-Man. It is also because he has a secret affair with Gwen Stacy circa Amazing Spider-Man #61, as revealed in Amazing Spider-Man #509-514.
Gwen's death is told from her perspective in Clone Conspiracy #1.
This story identifies the bridge that Spider-Man and the Green Goblin are fighting on is the George Washington Bridge. However, the bridge depicted is actually the Brooklyn Bridge.
